Borys Medicky

Borys Medicky has performed world-wide as a solo harpsichordist and continuo player. He has acted both as Music Director and harpsichordist for La Belle Danse. Locally, he has appeared with Tafelmusik, The Toronto Consort, Aradia, Baroque Music Beside the Grange, Via Salzburg, Grand River Baroque Ensemble and Elora Festival Chamber Players. Borys studied with Arthur Haas for his Doctor of Musical Arts at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a freelance artist and private teacher in Toronto and co-directs the Toronto Continuo Collective, an ensemble dedicated to increasing interest in stylish basso continuo accompaniment of seventeenth-century music.
